Jana Lozanoska is an Associate Professor in the Law Division at the American University of Central Asia, Bishkek. Her academic career involves teaching and research practices in the field of international law, technology and political theory. Lozanoska studied international law in Skopje (undergraduate), Geneva (LL.M) and San Jose, Costa Rica where she obtained her doctorate degree (2018) with focus on Hannah Arendt’s political theory and principle of human dignity. Lozanoska has contributed as scholar and expert on academic and research projects for several Universities and research institutes globally and cooperated with institutions such as EU, OSCE and UN. In her research practices she has cooperated with several visual artists across different geographies. Beyond her academic writing and research, Lozanoska for several years has contributed as a regular columnist in the largest newspaper Dnevnik. Lozanoska is also an author of poetry book and "Exhibition" (Antolog, 2011) in Macedonian (her native language) and short novel “Дневна соба/Living Room” (Ili-Ili, 2015) that was selected as Finalist for the “Novite” Best Manuscript and Quarterfinalist for the National Best Novel Prize.
